Amy Schindler - Chief Operating Officer

Amy brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in the animal welfare industry. Her experience spans animal care and control, behavior, adoptions, foster programs, community support, shelter medicine, organizational leadership and more.

Amy is a CPDT-certified dog trainer with published articles. She encourages a shelter environment that supports fear free methods as well as a model to support both physical and mental health for animals. 

Amy resides in Richmond with her very spoiled dog and cat and is an avid reader. She loves museums, spending time in nature and trying as many restaurants in Richmond as possible.
