
Strut Your Mutt walk is a fundraising dog walk that kicks off Woofstock. Area dog lovers collect donations to help support the animals at Richmond Animal League. On walk day, they bring their canine friends to enjoy a leisurely stroll down Monument Avenue. All registrants will receive a collection envelope in the mail and are encouraged to create online fundraising pages where supporters can donate securely online with a credit card.
Community members, businesses and local dog lovers can form packs, join packs, or be individual dog walkers. All registered participants will receive a collection envelope and have the opportunity collect donations through personalized online fundraising pages. Participants who raise over $100 will receive a FREE Strut Your Mutt T-shirt (while supplies last).
Sign up online above, or download and fill out the Strut Your Mutt Registration Form on the right and return to RAL. Once registered, you will receive a Collection Envelope in the mail to assist you with your fundraising efforts.

A Pack is a group of friends, family or co-workers who wish to form together into a group to raise funds for RAL. Packs generally consist of 10 walkers raising a total of $1,000.
It's not hard at all! Once you appoint a Pack Leader to act as a liaison between Richmond Animal League and your team or organization, we will provide all the materials and guidelines to ensure success in your Strut Your Mutt Pack.
Not at all. Pack participation is open to everyone. Employees are encouraged to invite their family, friends and neighbors to be involved. The energetic and exciting setting of the Strut Your Mutt Walk creates a fun, wholesome event that brings coworkers and their families together outside the office for the purpose of helping animals.
Corporate donations are encouraged, but not required. Your individual pack members will generate the majority of pack contributions.
Management can encourage pack participation in a number of ways: Sign-up for the pack, draft and distribute a company-wide memo or email endorsing the Strut Your Mutt Walk, authorize the purchase of T-shirts for pack members to wear to promote their company's commitment to Strut Your Mutt. The possibilities are endless and the Richmond Animal League is more than willing to help get your pack started
Each pack member is responsible for collecting funds from supporters and either turning funds raised into the Pack Leader, sending it to Richmond Animal League, or bringing it the day of the walk. If you are an individual dog walker, bring your full collection envelope to Richmond Animal League, the day of the Walk, or mail in the funds you have raised. Please be sure to indicate your name and pack name so you can get the appropriate credit for raising funds. Additionally, all funds donated online though fundraising pages have already been sent to RAL.
Our goal is to raise funds and awareness for our work with the homeless pet population. Your support is vital to the success of our mission: saving lives – providing hope, help and homes for animals in need.
Check with your company if they have a matching gifts program and how to apply. Make sure to inform Richmond Animal League that you will be receiving a matching gift. Matching gifts are a great way to double (or even triple) your funds raised!
A Strut Your Mutt T-Shirt is awarded to each walker who raises $100 or more (while supplies last).
Yes. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent permitted by law. Receipts will be mailed to donors who turn in checks and/or cash. Donors who utilize online fundraising will automatically receive an emailed receipt once their transaction has been processed.
Please bring your walker collection envelope with donations enclosed. Remember to fill out the Walker information on the back of your collection envelope and sign the waiver.
