Gracie is spayed and up to date on shots

In Foster Care

Please note, Gracie is not at the RAL shelter and is not yet available for adoption.

Gracie is a small black pit bull who is estimated to be between three and four years old. She too is in a foster home and doing very well. Gracie has recently been spayed and tested negative for heartworms. She came to RAL with a condition called Cherry Eye and has had “cosmetic” surgery to correct the condition.

It was clear from the beginning that Grace is a creature of comfort. After scoping out her new digs, sniffing the cats and searching for the dog food bowl Gracie immediately planted herself on the couch and promptly went to sleep. Grace is the epitome of a “couch potato”. When not sleeping on the couch, she enjoys squeaky toys and romping with Alf.
details

Gracie has never met a stranger and has taken new environments in stride. She loves other dogs, tolerates her feline roommates and is most happy when she can cozy up to Alf as they jockey for the best spot on the couch.

Always the prissy one, Gracie prefers that she not get her feet wet so her trips outside to do what lady dogs do are short in nature. After a few minutes in the backyard she’s pawing at the door to come back in where, once again, she settles in on the couch.

Gracie spends time at K9 Consultants’ doggie day care where she is honing her social skills and where she will soon begin basic obedience training. Gracie’s easy going nature and ability to adapt to new surroundings will enable her to easily transition from couch potato to obedience school star.
