RAL On BBB Charity List

The Richmond Animal League is proud to announce that it has been included in the Better Business Bureau of Central Virginia charity list for “meeting standards”, which is the top designation a charity can receive. Organizations that obtain this level have met all 20 Better Business Bureau charity standards that cover areas such as fundraising and financial management. The Richmond Animal League has long been acknowledged as a financially responsible charity in the Greater Richmond area. Since their inception in 1979, they have relied on the charitable contributions of community members to sustain their mission to provide help and hope to thousands of companion animals. Those contributions have directly led to advances at the Richmond Animal League, which include the building of their permanent shelter to house over 75 animals, the payment of medical expenses and spay/neuter procedures, and the ability to rescue dogs and cats from local animal control facilities where they would otherwise be euthanized.

The Richmond Animal League is the area’s oldest non-profit “no-kill” organization committed to reducing the homeless pet population in the Richmond area. The Richmond Animal League has provided shelter and love to hundreds of companion animals each year until they can be adopted into permanent and loving homes.
