Adopted on March 3, 2010 (Not from RAL)
Rosey was found on the side of the road but now has been spayed and vaccinated and is living in our house. She is getting along well with our Dane mix and is wonderful with our 6, 4, and 2 year old.
At first she was nervous with Big Dog and would bark at him whenever he got near me, but Big Dog is very laid back and relaxed and took it in stride. By mid afternoon she had warmed to him and now they are spending time together all day. Today they actually ran around outside and played for the first time. I think she enjoys other dogs but has probably never had experience with them. She would need a nonreactive dog or she could get bit and engage in a fight. She is quickly quieted with a swift no if she is doing something not allowed. She will probably never be a dog park dog though. She is very human attached and would also do well as an only dog.
Children are a whole other story. She love attention and does wonderful with the children. She would be a great family pet as long as the children love kisses. She is full of energy and waiting to play.
