Hemi is an excellent playmate; he is a fun dog with a great attitude and very eager to please.When Hemi came from the shelter he was emaciated and full of worms. He was nearly bald, too. He had probably never seen the inside of a house before either. Now Hemi is at a good weight and his skin is great. He is housebroken and crate trained. He knows sit, and he is getting better with other basic commands. He loves to play ball. He is very easy to bathe and groom. He has a great sense of humor and is goofy and funny. He is being fostered in Harrisonburg VA.

Hemi enjoys playing with the resident male and female dog in his foster home. He is very affectionate to people, and he has even met some cats he didn’t seem to mind. We think Hemi is about 3 years old, so he is still young and energetic; because of this we would prefer he go to a home with older children that could match his enthusiasm for play.
If you think you might like to give Hemi a chance, please apply. He has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations and will be microchipped prior to going to his new home. He has been up for adoption for 18 months, and while he has received interest, no-one has been serious about adopting a pet. He is a very sweet dog who deserves to be someone’s pet and not just in foster care.
