RAL charges an adoption fee to help defray the costs incurred for medical and daily care. Even though area veterinarians generously discount their services, the adoption fee falls short of what is needed to provide routine medical care, specialized medical care, food and shelter. The difference is made up through donations and fundraising please donate!
You will be asked to fill out an application. Once the application has been processed and approved, your "new best friend" can go home with you. (The application process usually takes 4 business days, but can vary depending on how quickly we can contact everyone necessary).

Adoption fee includes:
- vaccinations appropriate for age
- heart worm test (adults only)
- worming
- spay/neuter
- microchip
- 1 month heart worm preventative (all dogs/puppies are on heart worm preventative while at our shelter)

Our dogs and puppies get 24PetWatch microchips, which include free registration into the 24PetWatch pet recovery service.
